Farmbot’s core focus is in water for Livestock and has high adoption in cattle and sheep grazing activities across the state. It is now expanding its core water monitoring offering to a range of its own and other third-party technology, including sensors for Rainfall, Flow, Pressure, Cameras, Pump Control, Trough monitors and more.


The company’s Software platform gathers data from its on-farm monitors and converts it to actionable insights that inform better Farm Management decisions and actively engages the customer for better asset and resource utilisation.

Farmbot is seeking a service focused sales executive passionate about the agriculture and the livestock sector.

LOCATION: Central / Northern Queensland (Base could be Rockhampton/ Townsville etc)

REMUNERATION: Salary, Commission, Car, Expenses package equal to $150K+

Potential to participate in company equity share plan

START DATE: Immediate



  • To manage relationships with Farmbot’s existing channel partners and customers

  • To build high quality customer and channel sales opportunities and relationships

  • To develop an active sales funnel and business expansion opportunities

  • To ensure Farmbot’s new products, services and features are communicated through sales channels and to partners in a timely fashion

  • To facilitate the development channel support documentation and processes

  • To attend Ag shows, conferences and forums to promote Farmbot technology

  • To present to industry groups targeting their specific needs (Irrigation, Dairy, Grazing)

  • To maintain detailed lead and customer contact details to support ongoing business development and targeted campaigns

  • To report back on customer requests/insights to feed into ongoing product development

  • To handle incoming sales enquiries and ensure orders are processed in an efficient and timely manner

  • To contribute to the development of marketing materials and related collateral

  • To actively develop new business opportunities for Farmbot products & services in non-agricultural and non-conventional verticals


  • 5+ years Sales and Business Development experience in Animal Health / Rural

  • Merchandise or Water / Irrigation businesses

  • Experience selling through channel partners (Nutrien, Elders, CRT, Total Eden, Irrigation, Pumps or Water Tank companies)

  • Must be able to identify, target and close sales leads

  • Passion for and experience in agriculture sales and marketing

  • Experience in pumps, irrigation and water technology

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (groups, forums, shows etc.)

  • An appreciation for the workings of water and general agricultural infrastructure

  • Good documentation, record-keeping and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and remotely

  • Competent user of MS – Office, CRMs and Web systems

  • Have and maintain an awareness and understanding of commercial, political and environmental conditions and influences impacting customer decisions referred centrally based but must be willing to travel to service our client base and partners across Queensland
