About the Role:

We are currently seeking an energetic bore runner to join our Minilya Station in Carnarvon, WA. This role is responsible for the maintenance of all livestock watering points throughout the station. You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure and experience in different aspects of the business such as livestock operations, emerging technologies, and fodder production.

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated bore runner ready to take the next steps in their career and join our close-knit station team.

Key Responsibilities of the role are (but not limited to):

  • Monitoring and maintaining livestock water points and infrastructure.

  • Maintaining and servicing pumps, fences, generators, and some small vehicles.

  • Feed out stock supplements.

  • Observing stock and reporting any issues to management.

  • Machinery operation.

About You:

You will be an easy going mechanically minded individual, someone who takes great pride in every aspect of their work and has experience working remotely.

Essential Criteria:

  • Always demonstrate commitment to safe working practises and animal welfare.

  • Motivated, hard-working, and willing to contribute to the Minilya (Harvest Road) team culture.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work autonomously or as part of a team.

  • Possess sufficient fitness level to carry out required tasks.

  • Manual driver’s license.

  • Experience working remotely.

  • Successful applicants must have the right to live and work fully in Australia.

  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with electric submersibles run off diesel or solar generators highly regarded.

  • Experience working with cattle animal husbandry.

  • HR, HC or MC license.

  • Machinery experience (grader, loader, telehandler).
