Seifert Belmont Reds is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Ian Stark and Jeanne Seifert. They are the largest breeders of pure-bred Belmont Reds in Australia with approximately 2000 fully Breedplan recorded females on an aggregation of three properties totaling 12,500ha. The properties north of Jandowae, south of Eidsvold, and north of Crow’s Nest are a mix of ticky and clean country, ranging from marginal iron bark breeder country to brigalow backgrounding country.

Up to 400 bulls are produced annually to supply beef producers, from small-scale family operations to large-scale corporate companies, across Queensland, the Northern Territory, Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.  To cater for the growing demand for their genetics, Seifert Belmont Reds is in a business expansion phase to supply more than 600 bulls annually.

The Belmont Red is the longest performance recorded breed in Australia and Seifert Belmont Reds' pedigrees can be traced all the way back to the original Africander and Belmont Red cattle at CSIRO in 1956.  From birth Jeanne spent her early childhood living at Belmont Research Station where Dr. G.W.Seifert was the principle research scientist.
