Job Description: A position exists for a Feedlot Hand to commence work in our client’s northern New South Wales family owned and operated beef cattle feedlot comprising of approximately 3,000 standard cattle units.

 

• Duties will include inducting cattle into the feedlot, exiting cattle out of the feedlot, moving cattle between pens, monitoring condition and animal health standards, and maintaining general infrastructure as necessary.

• The feedlot adjoins a large scale broad acre farming property and during harvest and busy times the Feedlot Hand will be required to assist with duties on the farm also, which will include tractor and chaser bin operation, fencing and other maintenance.

• Previous exposure to the agricultural industry will be viewed favorably.

• On-the-job training will be provided.

• The successful candidate within this role is going to be a team-player with a good attitude toward work and someone who is expectant of longevity within their employment.

Benefits: Single air conditioned accommodation is supplied on farm consisting of a private room and communal bathroom, kitchen and laundry facilities. A three bedroom home is also available for a couple or family provided with their own kitchen, bathroom and laundry amenities.
