Job Description: Reporting to the Managing Director, as Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 18,000 head feedlot, managing the Feed and Maintenance teams. Your responsibilities will include the following:
Manage and monitor milling and commodity processing activities to meet production quantity and quality targets
Manage and monitor feeding programs to optimise production and quality outcomes
Ensure mill and feeding operations are carried out in a manner which optimises feed conversation and minimises mill operating costs
Ensure the maintenance team maintains the feedlot facility and equipment to a high standard at all times
This is a key role in developing and supporting a culture which reflects the organisation’s values, encourages high performance and individual initiative and responsibility.
Given the scale and responsibilities of this position, we are keen to hear from you if you possess extensive feedlot operations experience, with proven skills in leadership.
You will also be energetic, with a professional, common sense approach and appreciate being part of a larger management team, playing an integral role in the supply of cattle to meet the company’s commitments.
