Start Date: Anticipated start date being March 2022 (earlier it suits) with season (for seasonal staff) ending approx November 2022.

Head Stockperson:  This position is to be based at Moola Bulla Station working directly under a very well respected Manager within the industry. This is a great opportunity for either a current head stockman or an experienced leading hand looking to take the next step in their career and hit the ground running while continuing to learning from one of the best.

Criteria and duties:

  • Previous experience in Head Stockman role

  • Proven ability to provide leadership, supervision, direction and expert advice to the station hands across all station operations 

  • Proven experience in low-stress stock handling

  • Competency in all general property maintenance tasks

  • Trustworthy and hardworking person that can work closely and communicate with General Manager

  • Ability to problem solve

  • All aspects of yard work, mustering two-wheel bikes, general station maintenance including but not limited to fencing, infrastructure development and maintenance

Benefits: 

  • For the right applicant, this position can be held as a full time role with a competitive full time salary + 6 weeks paid annual leave or on a seasonal basis with above award daily rate based on recently approved Enterprise Agreement including seasonal paid annual leave.  We plan for the season to commence March 2022, but start date can be earlier if suited.

  • While on station we have good clean accommodation and a pool for cooling off after a long day.

  • We consider ourselves to be a close knit group with many inter-station get-togethers and events in Broome planned during the season.

  • Employees are offered extensive training and inductions on arrival and every effort is made to give employees a large cross section of experiences in different areas.
