Job Description:

  • We're on the lookout for a Bore Runner to join the team at Canobie Station in Western Queensland. 

  • Canobie Station is located 200km north of Cloncurry and 280km south of Normanton. The property is a breeding station running predominantly Brahman cattle. The Cloncurry River runs through the property which provides permanent water. Canobie has a good mixture of black soils and lighter red country, and the properties Alcala and Lyrian Downs are operated as part of the Canobie aggregation.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safely perform your job and take responsibility for your safe work behaviour.

  • Checking turkey nest level, turkey nest fences, troughs, motors, pump jacks and helical rotors at each bore.

  • Ensuring water supply levels are correct.

  • Keeping a written record of bores checking the level of water at each turkey next, the number of cattle at each trough, and maintenance on fences, troughs and motors.

  • Maintain bore runner motor vehicle and report any breakdowns.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (desired)

  • MR License and Non-slewing mobile crane license required.

  • Mechanical knowledge and experience (desired)

  • Ability to coordinate a daily and weekly work schedule.

  • Capability to work both alone and as part of a team.
