Job Description:

  • Reporting to the Manager Terrick Terrick Station, the Caretaker Couple will reside on Mount Harden and responsible for managing and maintaining Mount Harden including gardens and lawns, operating machinery grader, loader and the Station Road Train. 

  • You will also be working intermittently with the Terrick Station crew to carry out all sheep and cattle activities.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Machinery operation including Loader and Grader.

  • General repairs & maintenance on station plant and equipment

  • Operate the Station Road Train

  • Mustering of sheep and cattle on two-wheel motorbikes.

  • Maintain all station infrastructure including water points, fencing, yards, vehicles, machinery, tools and equipment.

  • Gardening, mowing/ whipper snipper use

Job Requirements:

  • A current manual driver's license and MC Truck license preferred.

  • Mechanically minded and experience operating and maintaining Heavy machinery.

  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised.

  • Ability to follow work health and safety procedures and animal welfare standards.

  • Experience maintaining station infrastructure including buildings, water points, fences and yards. Basic welding and fabrication skills.
