Job Description:

We currently have roles available across Maryfield Station and Legune Station in the NT:

  • Maryfield Station: Just off the Stuart Highway with all weather, year round access, only a short drive from Daly Waters and with Katherine a few hours away to the north. Maryfield Station is located on 147,300 hectares and has 16,636 head of cattle.

  • Legune Station: Situated 120km NE of Kununurra, across the NT/WA border on 352,270 hectares. Legune Station runs 28,417 head of cattle, with approximately 20 staff located at the station. 

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Station Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining water supplies to all livestock and the homestead, advising management of any water supply problems.

  • Repairing and maintaining water troughs, water lines, fences, bore pumps and pulling bores.

  • Maintaining records of livestock, homestead water levels & service intervals.

  • Conducting regular maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, tools and equipment.

  • Assisting with other general station duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • A current manual driver's license.

  • Experience maintaining water supplies in a remote location, servicing solar bores & small motors desirable.

  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised.

  • Mechanically minded and good problem-solving skills.
