To support the ongoing improvements within the organisation, a Maintenance Supervisor is now required at their 9700scu-Pinegrove Feedlot in Millmerran, QLD.

Job Description:

  • Reporting to the Feedlot Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all maintenance operations are conducted safely and efficiently throughout the site. With the overall aim of minimising unplanned downtime, this role will provide hands-on support whilst leading a small team of maintenance personnel.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Working Monday to Friday between 6am and 3:30pm, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Scheduling, directing, and inspecting daily maintenance tasks with a focus on preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

  • Managing and overseeing the utilization of required resources, including efficient rostering and inventory management.

  • Identifying areas of improvement within the maintenance team, ensuring performance management activities are conducted when needed.

  • Participating in the budgeting/planning of capital projects

  • Ensuring accurate recording of maintenance activities through MEX.

  • Providing hands-on maintenance on all plant and equipment including:

  1. Civil machinery (Komatsu)

  2. Heavy commercial trucks

  3. Hilux Utes

  4. Feedmill plants

  5. Cattle Crushes

  6. Site infrastructure (Pens, Fencing, etc)

Job Requirements:

With a strong focus on safety, communication, and animal welfare, you will have previous experience in large-scale production maintenance. You will have effective leadership skills, and the ability to oversee performancemanagement and training practices within your team.

To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria:

  • Relevant mechanical qualifications and/or trade certificate (Diesel Mechanic trade background strongly desired).

  • Previous experience within a grain handling/milling production plant (desirable).

  • Strong fault-finding/troubleshooting skills with a broad knowledge of fixed and mobile plant and equipment maintenance.

  • Proven experience within preventative maintenance planning and continuous development.

  • Strong communication and record keeping skills, both verbal and through maintenance management programs (MEX).

  • Ability to perform call-outs on site if required.

  • Full Australian working rights (Essential)
