Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bore Runner for Arubiddy Station, a premium fine Merino wool pastoral property. Arubiddy Station is situated in Cocklebiddy, WA, only 30km off the Eyre Highway. The station covers 300,000 hectares and is located on the unique Nullarbor Plain, with the property managing a self-replacing stock of approximately 17,000 Merino sheep for fine wool production.
As a Bore Runner, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance, inspection, and repair of water infrastructure across the station. This role is vital in ensuring that all livestock have access to clean and sufficient water.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Regularly inspect and maintain bores, pumps, solar pumps, tanks, troughs, and associated water infrastructure.
Monitor water levels with farmbott and ensure adequate supply across the station.
Identify and repair any faults or issues
Maintain accurate records of water usage, maintenance, and repairs.
Job Requirements:
Experience in bore running, water infrastructure maintenance or similar roles is preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote and challenging environment.
Basic mechanical skills, including solar small motor maintenace and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repairs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate 4WD vehicles safely.
