Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Station Cook/ Gardener to join the team at Moray Downs Station. We are looking for people who are looking for flexibility in hours, and have the ability to plan and organise themsevles around their other duties.
Moray Downs Station is 280,000 acres of backgrounding country, 270kms north-West of Clermont. The team is looking for a general all-rounder to work around the homestead looking after that grounds, cooking, irrigation and depending on the successful candidates experience and interest a variety of other tasks. This role is perfect for someone who likes autonomy and variety in their work.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Our cooks prepare breakfasts, lunches, dinner and 'smokos' for staff and contractors/visitors throughout the year.
Approximately spending the following amount of time on the following tasks:
4 hours daily in the kitchen cooking and preparing meals (morning & evening split)
2.5 full days a week looking after grounds predominantly mowing & brush cutting as well as moving sprinklers and irrigators
Opportunity to get involved in administration, Stock Work ad housekeeping duties depending on the applicant.
