Job Description:
ACC’s largest breeding property, Barkly Downs (near Mount Isa) has an exciting opportunity for a Station Hand to join the team.
Barkly Downs is currently running over 42000 head of bulls, cows and calves across 2.3 million acres.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Mustering of livestock and general station hand duties as required
Permanent, full-time positions (ongoing employment, not seasonal)
Full training - both on the job practical training, plus external courses led by the industry's best covering cattle handling, horsemanship, motorbikes & shoeing

Some extras:
Previous cattle handling / station experience whilst desirable, is not necessary
Ideally some familiarity / experience with horses, but if not quite a capable rider, we've got the best people & horses on station to help you with that!
The Physical fitness and agility to safely undertake the physical aspects of the role.
Basic literacy skills to ensure you can understand written instructions and information
Basic computer skills for recording & handling cattle data
Driver's Licence
