Job Description:

Are you looking for a long-term full-time station hand position with genuine career opportunities? 


We’ve got an opening at our Brindley Park Property Group, conveniently based 30km North of Roma. You’ll love being a part of this energetic team of 10 likeminded people working together across an aggregation of 10 properties spanning over 70,000 acres.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You’ll enjoy variety in the day-to-day operations of this diverse and unique property group, with a large scale Fullblood Wagyu and Angus stud, and commercial backgrounding enterprise.  

  • Gain exposure to a variety of specialised skill areas including cutting-edge artificial breeding techniques, data collection and analysis, water and infrastructure maintenance, plus formal and informal training that can open doors for your future career progression with us. 

  • Our commitment to providing the highest standards of animal welfare means we’re serious about our horsemanship and how we handle cattle.  

  • The majority of our cattle work is on horseback with the occasional use of two-wheeled motorbikes.

Job Requirements:

You will be a highly skilled and motivated individual who has a genuine passion for agriculture and is interested cattle genetics and stud stock.  Our ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience in handling cattle in a safe, quiet and competent manner

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.

  • Intermediate horse riding ability.

  • Great communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to safe working practises and animal welfare at all times.

  • Self – motivated with an ability to work independently.

  • Willingness to learn and desire for career progression in the industry

Knowledge of artificial insemination and embryo transfer techniques is an advantage!
