Bindaree Beef Group's Myola Feedlot is a modern 20,000 SCU (Standard Cattle Unit) capacity feedlot situated in the heart of the “Golden Triangle” in northwest NSW and is 70km from Goondiwindi, 60km from Moree and 50km from Warialda. Job Description:

  • Our 18-month graduate program at the Myola feedlot in Croppa Creek, northern NSW, is an extraordinary opportunity if you're looking to gain experience in the agricultural and food industry. 

  • The program provides a holistic understanding of the business, covering various aspects from "paddock to plate."

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Working alongside industry leading professionals, mentors, and peers - this immersive experience ensures hands-on learning and development in nutrition, animal welfare, business management, and leadership. With ongoing support, you will;

  • Benefit from specialised nutritional training provided by our accredited consulting nutritionists.

  • Gain insights into feedlot-specific animal health through onsite veterinary practices.

  • Have access to peak national body subscriptions providing feedlot-specific skills training and careers information.

  • Navigate environmental compliance.

  • Gain exposure to the procurement and sourcing of feedlot cattle process.

  • Develop an understanding of organisational culture and effective people management.

  • Prioritise and uphold Workplace Health and Safety standards.

  • Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and Compliance.

Job Requirements:

Does this role suit you? We are looking for;

  • A 2022 or 2023 Graduate with a Tertiary qualification in:

  1. Animal Science; or

  2. Agricultural Science; or

  3. Agri-business Management

  • Someone with a passion or interest in Agriculture.

  • Someone possessing leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.

  • Someone who approaches challenges with a positive and proactive mindset.

  • You must have entitlement to work in Australia to be considered.

  • No previous feedlot experience required.
