Brett Cattle Company are a family operated business and comprises of 2 cattle stations:

Waterloo Station is located on the Duncan Highway NT, 150km from the East Kimberley major tourist destination, Kununurra. The Station encompasses 1895 sq. km in the Victoria River District which runs up to 25,000head.

Willeroo Station is located 120km South West of Katherine on the Victoria Highway. Willeroo spans 171,000 ha and is a makeup of breeding and backgrounding cattle focusing on the live export trade.

Job Description:

  • We are looking for a Head Stockperson with horse riding and/ or motorbike skills to join the Brett Cattle Company Team, based at Waterloo Station, NT.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leading and organising our team for mustering, drafting, trucking of cattle

  • Reporting to the station manager regularly

  • Leading, training and developing a team of station hands

  • Promote a positive, respectful and safe work environment

  • Plan and co-ordinate with current management to meet day to day and program goals

  • Detailed and accurate recording of all stock information

  • Ensure workplace standards and policies are followed

Job Requirements:

  • Leadership and communiation skills essential

  • Livestock handling knowledge, ability and skill

  • Horseriding or Motorbike riding experience 

  • Sound judgement, calmness under pressure & problem solving

  • Commitment to highest standards of animal health and welfare

  • Fitness to safely undertake the physical aspects of station work
