Job Description:

  • We are currently seeking an experienced Station Hand to join our existing team.

  • It is a full-time position Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work when required.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily care and management of Wagyu cattle, including feeding, health checks, and general husbandry.

  • Implementing breeding programs and assisting with calving.

  • Monitoring and maintaining the health and welfare of the herd.

  • Operating and maintaining farm equipment and infrastructure.

  • Collaborating with the farm owners and manager to ensure the highest standards of livestock care.

  • Utilising working dogs to assist with cattle handling and movement.

  • Riding horses to assist with cattle mustering and general farm work.

  • Maintaining accurate records of livestock performance and health.

  • Paddock based labour, fencing maintenance, checking water, horse basics, feeding, grooming, computer work, database management, beef processing & sales support, occasional delivery support, welding, property maintenance, and exposure the full supply chain.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in livestock handling, preferably with cattle.

  • Strong understanding of animal health and welfare practices.

  • Proficiency in the use of farm machinery and equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A genuine passion for livestock and farming.

  • Australian driver’s license essential/ Valid HR truck licence (preferred).

  • Some prior knowledge of cattle

  • Proficiency with XL

  • Strong communication and organizational skills and written reporting skills

  • Ability to follow instructions with pride and accuracy

  • Willingness to learn/adapt

  • Self-motivation/ autonomy

  • Trustworthiness

  • Positivity/ Enthusiasm

  • Diligence

  • Flexibility

  • Experience with dogs and horses is an advantage

  • Access to personal vehicle for any off farm travel
