DIT AgTech is an innovative company, at the cutting edge of agricultural technology, looking for a Territory Manager/Animal Production Officer to join the team. The role will be responsible for working directly with cattle producers across Northern Australia, who have implemented DIT’s water supplementation technology, to ensure that the nutritional requirements of their livestock is being matched with production goals.

Job Description:

The role is based in Katherine and will involve extensive travel across the top end, looking after DIT customers. Assisting the producers with the initial onboarding of the tech, through to ensuring a regular supply of supplement, will be the focus of this position, as well as facilitating seasonal planning of the customers supplement program.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing a thorough working knowledge of the uDOSE, IoT devices and the uHUB dashboard to support DIT Customers.

  • Ensure that the tech devices installed on customers farms/stations are functioning at 100% capacity.

  • Arranging supply and delivery of supplement including assistance with mixing of product on farm if required.

  • Extensive travel from the Pilbara to Townsville to offer face to face customer service/care to DIT customers

  • Assisting producers with forward planning of livestock supplement requirements to match production goals of their operation.

  • Collecting water, pasture, dung or blood samples required to assist with the decision-making process of livestock production for DIT customers.

  • In consultation with the company’s nutritionist and lab technician, analyzing and interpreting results from the above sampling to assist with supplementation planning and adjustments during the year in response to changes in seasonal conditions and or production goals.

  • Assisting the R&D team in any trial work through the monitoring and collection of data for reporting.

  • Keeping accurate records of customer interactions on the companies CRM

  • Accurately completing paperwork for the company’s accounts, inventory and asset management.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and remotely across rural regions for extended periods of time

  • Excellent personal presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively

  • Some form of Ag science/Ag business tertiary qualification (essential)

  • Background in ruminant animal nutrition (preferred)

  • A competent understanding of basic computer skills

  • Manual Drivers Licence (essential)

  • HR Truck Licence (preferred)

  • Transporting Dangerous Goods Accreditation (preferred)

  • Forklift Licence (preferred)

  • Handling Dangerous Goods Accreditation (preferred)
