Job Description:

Elders Goulburn is looking for a Livestock Territory Sales Manager to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis to manage the Livestock client base and grow livestock sales in the Southern Tablelands region.


Elders' Territory Sales Managers are experts in livestock sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and preparing livestock for market, procuring livestock for Elders customers and being the key contact and subject matter expert for growing business for both Elders customers and the Elders business.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

As a key member of the branch, you will:

  • Partner with Elders livestock clients to provide industry leading advice and knowledge on growing livestock operations for the customer whilst growing business for Elders.

  • Consult on livestock to Elders customers from procuring livestock to assessing and preparing livestock for market.

  • Grow and maintain commercial, professional and profitable relationships and grow a strong portfolio of new and existing clients in the livestock trade

  • Identify and cultivate new livestock sales opportunities

  • Develop and grow relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processors

  • Provide professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business

  • Employ tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers together

  • Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community events

Job Requirements:

To succeed at Elders, you have:

  • Have a depth of experience in livestock sales, ready to effect real change for your clients, for Elders and for your community

  • Have Auctioneering experience and accreditation (preferred)

  • Have a passion for livestock sales and an active interest in safe livestock handling

  • Are driven by sales and success and creating great outcomes for your clients and Elders

  • Aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to build new business

  • Are able to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clients
