Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Farm Hand for an irrigated farming operation in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The position is offered on a full-time basis, for commencement immediately.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Farm Supervisor, your key duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Operation and maintenance of various farm machinery, vehicles, tools and equipment;
Hay baling and silage production from irrigated crops;
Carrying out general property maintenance and repairs;
Adherence to safe operating procedures.
Job Requirements:
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
Competent operation of various farm machinery/equipment and it’s servicing & maintenance;
Basic mechanical, welding and fencing knowledge;
A strong work ethic and commitment to working safely;
Ability to record information and communicate effectively in the workplace;
Ability to work well independently and in a small team;
Hold a current Class C driver’s licence (truck licence an advantage) and various other machinery operator accreditations or experience;
A genuine passion for farming, the beef industry, mosaic agriculture, and working in a regional rural location.
