Job Description:

We have an opening for a Feedmill Hand to join our operations at Maydan.


Maydan is a beef feeding facility which is situated in the Southern Downs region in Queensland. The operations span approximately 400 hectares and is home to 9,000 cattle.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

The Feedmill Hand contributes to the livestock program by undertaking duties such as:

  • Water trough maintenance and cleaning

  • Cattle handling and feeding

  • Driving/operating and maintaining a range of machinery & equipment

  • Data input and record keeping

  • Commodity receiving and handling

  • Inventory control

  • Feed batching, milling and delivery

  • General up keep, repairs and maintenance

Job Requirements:

  • You will have strong communication skills, be able to work on your own, and as part of the team, with a focus on completing your quality work safely. 

  • A current driver’s licence is essential. 

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
