Job Description:

Hancock Agriculture has a full-time position available for Maintenance Supervisor to join our operations at Gunnee feeding facility, which is situated in the Inverell Shire, NSW.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This position is suited to a qualified heavy machinery mechanic or a bush mechanic with experience in a similar role. 

  • The incumbent is someone who enjoys working with a broad scope and variety of work, ranging from mechanical to maintenance type functions eg. mechanical repairs and servicing of trucks, machinery and equipment, to general maintenance of yards, water and infrastructure. 

  • The position is temporarily assisted with support staff as required. 

  • The farm spans approximately 1,300 hectares and is home to 10,000 cattle.

Job Requirements:

  • Heavy machinery mechanic or demonstrated experience in a similar role

  • Ability to organize work maintenance programs

  • Hands on attitude to the role and be prepared to work across various tasks from workshop to feedlot maintenance

  • Working and supporting a safety workplace culture

  • Ability to work independently as well as cohesively within a team environment

  • Record keeping, computer literacy and reporting skills

  • Driver’s licence class C

  • Current basic first aid certificate

  • Advanced first aid certificate is desirable
