Job Description:

  • Harvest Road has an exciting full time, permanent opportunity for an energetic Bore Runner (Water Maintenance) to join our tight-knit team based at Springvale Station.

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining all livestock watering points throughout the station, maintaining equipment, pumps, stock waters, fences, reporting any livestock issues to management and livestock handling.

Springvale Station is located 70km north of Halls Creek and 300km south of Kununurra.  Springvale is a pastoral lease that operates as a breeder block in the east Kimberley region of Western Australia. This newly acquired breeder block forms part of Harvest Road Pastorals integrated supply chain, supplying good quality young cattle to our stations in the Pilbara and Gascoyne areas of WA.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and maintaining livestock waters.

  • Distributing lick supplement.

  • Maintaining and servicing pumps.

  • Maintaining fences.

  • Observing stock, reporting any issues to management.

  • Livestock handling..

Job Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Machinery experience (grader, loader, telehandler) is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Solar, electric submersible and mono bore experience is well regarded.

  • Demonstrate commitment to safe working practises and animal welfare at all times.

  • Experience with cattle animal husbandry.

Essential Criteria:

  • Manual driver’s licence.

  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work autonomously or as part of a team.

  • Motivated and hard-working, willing to be part of the Harvest Road team culture.

  • Possess efficient fitness level.

  • Pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.

*Please note:

  • No dogs are allowed

  • 4x4 vehicle recommended. Roads not suitable for small cars.
