Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Jumbuck has a range of opportunities for the 2023 season in NT, SA & WA, which include:

  • Station Hands – As a station hand you will be involved in all aspects of station work that include mustering, branding, drafting, processing, cattle education, fencing and other general station responsibilities. As our stockwork is conducted exclusively on horseback, it is a mandatory requirement that those in the stock camp offer specific experience and confidence with horses. During the season you can be expected to be camped out for lengths of time.

  • Grader and Loader Operators – The grader/loader operator will be required to repair erosion damage to roads, watering points and fence lines across the property and depending on skill and experience, other earthmoving work will be available.

  • MC Drivers – Responsible for the safe and efficient transport of cattle throughout the property. Previous experience driving road trans and experience handling and carting cattle necessary.

  • Cooks – The Cook is responsible for breakfast, lunch and dinners along with providing smoko for the crew. You will also be required to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety in the kitchen and cool room along with managing the food inventory.

  • Boreman – The main responsibilities as a Boreman will be to carry out daily water runs, service and maintenance of Kubota motors, observe and report back on cattle movement, as well as general station duties as required.
