Jumbuck are a fourth generation Australian business with large scale sheep and cattle stations throughout Australia.

Bulgunnia Station is located 4.5 hours drive north west of Port Augusta in the Glendambo region with the station Homestead just west off the Stuart Highway. The station has capacity to run up to 25,000 head of Merino sheep over an area over 300,000 hectares and is serviced by our permanent staff of 8.

Job Description:

We seek a full-time cook on a 12-month contract who is available to start immediately. 

• Immediate start available, full-time 12-month contract

• Homestead just off the Stuart Highway

• On station accommodation and living provided

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

You will hold responsibility for preparation of home-style breakfast, lunch, dinner and smokos for a small crew of 6 while ensuring the outfitted cook-house is kept clean and meticulously maintained.

Job Requirements:

The position is well suited to cooks who are creative, enjoy forward planning and are passionate about the outback and have an appreciation for rural living.

Job Benefits:

• A competitive day rate is on offer with accommodation, wifi, aircon and food provided. You will also receive 6 weeks annual leave per year and be included in the staff bonus structure.

• As the station is only just off the Stuart Highway, it is easily accessible to the nearby full-serviced town of Coober Pedy, or south-east to Port Augusta.

Those on a suitable working holiday visa will also be considered.
