Job Description:

An exciting opportunity is available for an adventurous on-site station cook to join the team at “Rawlinna”, a 2.5 million acre station with capacity to run up to 65,000 head of Merino sheep.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for preparing homestyle and nutritional breakfast, lunch, dinner and smokos for an established team on working days.

  • While primarily based at the Rawlinna homestead complex and newly renovated kitchen / mess area, from time-to-time, the job will require you to be camped out with the crew. 

  • A mobile kitchen van supports the camp with all "tools of the trade" provided, however you will need to be someone who is comfortable with the outdoors.

Job Requirements:

  • The position suits someone with a passion for cooking who is organised, plans well and with a keen eye for hygiene and safety.

  • An appreciation for rural and remote living is necessary.

  • A competitive rate is on offer, generous 6 weeks of annual leave with on station living costs covered and staff bonus structure.

  • Due to the remoteness of Rawlinna, on-station accommodation (single person quarters) at the main Homestead is provided with Telstra service available.
