Job Description:

We seek a permanent, full-time Overseer/ 2IC to be based at Depot, an Outstation of Rawlinna Station. 


Rawlinna covers an area of 2.5million acres and is regarded as the world’s largest operating sheep station with capacity to run up to 65,000 head of Merino sheep. The property is located on the western side of the Nullarbor in WA, some 4 hours’ drive east of Kalgoorlie via the Trans-Access Road.

Depot Outstation lies 90 minutes’ drive from the main Rawlinna Homestead and is about 2.5 hours north of the Eyre Highway, housed in a picturesque bushland setting.

  • Semi-furnished 3 b/r Homestead provided suitable for couple or small family

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Hold responsibility for the Southern area of the station

  • Upkeep and maintenance of water infrastructure

  • Delivery of the livestock programme

  • Provide mentoring and training to junior staff

Job Requirements:

  • Be a hands-on operator

  • Able to demonstrate current experience

  • Comfortable working in a team and on your own

  • Be a problem solver – creativity is key

  • Mechanically minded

  • Be physically fit
