Established in 1888, Jumbuck are a fourth-generation pastoral business with large scale sheep and cattle stations throughout Australia.

Located in the Coober Pedy / Glendambo region and west from the Stuart Highway, Mulgathing covers 530,000 hectares and runs up to 30,000 Merino sheep. Situated in 175mm rainfall country, it is well resourced with the station divided into 80 paddocks watered by 32 bores and 156km of pipeline servicing the numerous watering points.

Job Description:

We seek an experienced and career-minded Overseer for Mulgathing in the NW pastoral area of South Australia.

  • 100% Australian business

  • Well maintained and serviced property

  • Home available; suitable for a couple or small family

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The Overseer reports directly to the Manager. 

  • You will be responsible for providing management support on a day-to-day basis for a crew of 5 along with managing livestock and ensuring property, plant and equipment are pro-actively maintained. 

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical and / or trade experience will be viewed favourably, and you will need to offer maturity, capability and exceptional people skills to succeed.

  • This position will suit a current Overseer looking for a fresh challenge or a senior Station Hand looking to step up.

  • Applicants will need to have an appreciation for rural and outback living.
