We are a mixed farming family enterprise in Central West, NSW. Our properties currently expand across 3,500 hectares around Yeoval NSW, where we run approximately 4,000 breeding ewes, 400 breeding cows & trade in both sheep and cattle. We also crop 1,000 hectares of grazing crops and pasture improvement. Our properties in Cunnamulla, QLD total 77,000 hectares where we run 700 breeding cows and do a biannual muster.

Job Description:

We’re looking for an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager who is passionate about agriculture. 

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Stock work: including mustering, drenching, weighing, general animal husbandry.

  • Operate cropping machinery: such as Fendt tractors with auto-steer, Horsche disc seeder, crop-lands boom spray and other equipment.

  • Maintaining and building: new fences, sheep yards & water infrastructure, as well as maintaining farm equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Organised and Efficient: You can prioritise tasks and manage time like a pro, even when life gets a bit chaotic.You’re hardworking, honest and reliable and show initiative.

  • Skills & Experience: You’ve got low-stress stock handling skills (or willing to acquire them) & recent experience in a similar role in agriculture as well as being mechanically minded & have welding skills. You have or willing to acquire your own quality working dogs & you think on your feet and can find solutions to everyday challenges. 

  • Good communication skills & able work autonomously as well as in a team
