Job Description:

We're seeking an exceptional Gardener/All-Rounder to join our cattle property team about an hour south-west of Mundubbera in Queensland.


Situated alongside the Auburn River, Rosehall is the heart of our family-based agribusiness. This property is the gateway to our operation and your role will be crucial in creating a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to the land, resources, people, and livestock. If you're reliable and take pride in your work, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Gardener:

  • Use your knowledge of horticulture to maintain and enhance the homestead compound's garden and lawns, making it an attractive and well-cared-for space.

  • Ability to take pride in your work, be responsible for property you utilise and contribute to keeping everything in order.

  • Maintain and expand the vege garden, look after the small flock of chooks and keep an eye on Percy and Lucy, the house pets.


All-Rounder:

  • Help out with handyman jobs and general maintenance around the compound

  • Assist with the care and well-being of cattle and horses by checking water and putting out lick/feed, if required

  • Participate in mustering and drafting cattle, depending on your ability

  • Take your turn to prepare flavoursome home-cooked meals for our team and visitors using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, whenever possible.

  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized while following food safety standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in gardening and property care, particularly in managing a large property

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a tidy compound and common areas

  • Compliance with biosecurity and WHS policies and procedures

  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic

  • Desire to be involved in the local community
