Job Description:
We are currently seeking a stockperson with cattle experience to join our livestock team.
Reporting to the Livestock Supervisor, the person fulfilling this role will be required to workwithin a team environment, undertaking animal husbandry activities and other livestockrelated tasks, whilst ensuring the welfare of the animals is maintained.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist with all aspects of cattle induction, internal movements and dispatch, in accordancewith feedlot protocols and processes.
Health checks, drafting and other movements of cattle.
Assist with cleaning of water troughs.
Low stress cattle handling.
Record keeping.
General cleaning and maintenance.
Pen Riding either on horse or foot.
All other duties assigned by the Livestock Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Good communication skills.
Demonstrated experience/willingness to learn cattle handling and management.
Be a team player.
Cattle husbandry experience & competency in horse riding is desirable.
Basic computer skills are an advantage.
Health and Safety orientated.
