Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Feedlot Manager for our client's 12,000-head, approved intensive livestock facility, 25kms from Deniliquin.

Working closely with the Feedlot Manager, you'll be responsible for planning the receival, induction, and movement of all cattle entering the feedlot, as well as overseeing the mill/feeding operation. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cattle induction, dispatch, exits & logistics

  • Complete necessary paperwork for cattle entering & exiting the feedlot

  • Ensure timely induction of newly arrived cattle

  • Collaborate with pen riders and veterinarians on animal health protocols

  • Record daily cattle movements

  • Work with mill supervisor and nutritionist on feeding protocols

  • Maintain QA, animal welfare & environmental standards

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in feedlot management or similar role in the cattle industry

  • Experience operating feedlot programs ie Stockaid or Livestock Junction

  • Knowledge of cattle health, nutrition, and welfare

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills

Job Benefits:
