We operate a self-replacing merino operation, currently running around 11,000 sheep, along with a weaner operation from around 80 cows. We are located approx. 40 km from Crookwell, NSW

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career, ideally having at least 3 years’ experience as a Station/ Farm Hand on a commercial sheep property.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Be involved in extensive hands-on sheep and cattle work

  • Be involved in weed control, fencing, general maintenance of machinery and property

  • Be a team player with confidence to work alone and have a conscientious attitude

  • Have a willingness to learn and implement new innovative farming practices

Job Requirements:

  • Sound working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and a livestock management program such as Agriwebb is highly desirable.
  • Have experience mustering in steep country using bikes.
  • Have excellent communication skills, very motivated and maintain a positive mindset
  • Be highly organised to get through your jobs

 

NOTE: You must have your own well trained working dogs.
