Job Description:
We are looking for an Allocator/Mill Operator to join our growing team at our Wainui Feedlot | Permanent full-time position.
Reporting to the Feedlot Operations Manager, you will be joining our growing Wainui Feed team as an Allocator & Mill Operator. This role will support the feedlot operations in a variety of tasks relating to daily feed allocations promoting a high standard of animal nutrition, health and welfare.
You may find yourself in the office, out in the mill, operating machinery, driving the feed truck or reviewing performance data.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordination of the feed team working closely with the Livestock Manager and the Mill Supervisor
Operating machinery, feed batching & delivery, mill operations & general feedlot maintenance
Monitoring feed intakes and daily allocation of feed, analysing the information to make informed nutritional decisions
Coordination and preparation of commodities including, stocktake and logistics
Research development projects
Key to successfully delivering in this position is possessing an honest and hardworking attitude. As this role is varied in scope you may not have all the experience and qualifications at the time of application, NAPCo will provide training, so personality and willingness to learn are key traits to be successful in this position.

Experience with livestock behaviour, truck driving, machinery operations would be highly regarded but not essential
