NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 13 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD.
Alexandria Station is located on the Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory and is NAPCo's largest and oldest property, acquired in 1877, with two outstations, Soudan and Gallipoli. Alexandria is the 3rd largest cattle station in Australia.

Job Description:
A rare opportunity to experience life on an iconic Australian cattle station - not your typical mechanics workshop!!
As the Alexandria Station Mechanic, you will be servicing and maintaining a variety of vehicles from 4WD & prime movers to light plant & machinery.
A role that offers daily variety you will predominately work from the station workshop however occasionally heading out and about providing mechanical support in the field and supervising an apprentice.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Day to Day include:
Perform general mechanical diagnosis, repairs, service and maintenance on a wide variety of light vehicles (4wd mostly), light trucks, 3 prime movers and light plant motors
Servicing and maintenance Station Vehicles
Supervising apprentice Mechanic
Parts ordering, stocktake, maintaining station mechanical supplies
Maintaining station supply (generators)
Job Requirements:
A mechanical trade qualification or equivalent experience
A current manual driver's licence
A sound level of diagnostic experience and skills in maintaining a variety of vehicles
The capability and willingness to work safely with minimal supervision
Good communication and works well with multi-skilled broader station team.
