Job Description:
Whyalla Beef is seeking a highly skilled maintenance manager, who will lead a team of maintenance staff to maintain and repair the company’s facilities and equipment.
Being an intuitive professional with good problem-solving abilities is the skill set that this job requires.
Our facilities must produce every day and must run efficiency and reliability.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Lead all maintenance and repair-related activities in the company, keeping in mind we are a 7 day a week operation.
Document and submit reports to the General manager (or the stakeholders, regarding budgets, progress and time schedules.
Supervise the condition of all the equipment in the establishment and apply suitable preventive maintenance programs.
Manage maintenance plans, and ensure that everything is in line with legal and safety regulations.
Recognise areas of improvement in the facilities maintenance.
Objectives of this role
Strive towards the seamless running of the facility and the equipment of the company through planned and coordinated maintenance management.
Work as a repair manager, and implement investigation and inspections into each piece of physical equipment of the company
Adhere to safety standards and legal regulations while executing maintenance management tasks and programs
Train, guide and evaluate staff members as the Manager of maintenance.
Job Requirements:
Required skills and qualifications
Prior proven experience working as a maintenance manager, repair manager, or related role.
Be experienced in dealing with budgets, schedules and reporting.
Understanding of legal safety regulations specific to the Feedlot industry.
Knowledge of milling equipment and the facilities machinery.
Demonstrated experience working in a management role
Demonstrated strong communication, delegation and team management.
Prioritise and coordinate repairs in line with production requirements.
