Job Description:

Paringa Gold is seeking a possible applicant with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to join our team.

  • Mustering is done on bikes (4 wheelers)

  • Full time Mon-Friday with rostered rotational weekend work

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

This is an exciting all-encompassing role that will see you involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations across the business. This role will keep you busy with cattle work, cropping work and various tasks including general infrastructure maintenance:

  • Daily cattle movements, drafting, induction, treatments and trucking with an emphasis on animal welfare;

  • Mustering (on Quad bikes) and drafting of backgrounding cattle for entry into feedlot.

  • Feeding out and general mill maintenance.

  • General yard and paddock maintenance.

  • Farming and Commodity handling.

Job Requirements:

  • Be punctual, energetic, honest, and reliable.

  • Proven stockmanship experience with an understanding of low stress principals.

  • A strong interest in Animal Health and Welfare.

  • Willingness to learn and utilize computer record keeping systems.

  • Ability to muster and move cattle utilising. (No horses or dogs used)

  • Experience operating various machines or the interest to learn.

  • Competent in general property maintenance

  • Experience in crops and farming machinery advantageous but not essential.

  • Capacity to learn on the job and be a part of an energetic and innovative team.

  • Some weekend work will be required.

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
