Job Description:
A Station Hand position is available to join the livestock crew on our Breeder cattle station's located near Katherine and Darwin, NT.
Working across NT based cattle station's including Melaleuca, Opium Creek and Dry River
You must have at least 2 years working on a cattle station
Welding & mechanical skills are highly regarded.
You must be fit, healthy, and have a positive attitude
Reports to the Station Manager
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be actively involved with all cattle work and mustering is done with motorbikes, and helicopters.
As part of the station hand role, other duties include mustering, cattle processing, fence maintenance, stock water maintenance, lick dispersal, and mechanical maintenance.
Additionally, you will sometimes travel to our other stations as a team to process cattle for our Flood plain blocks located near Darwin.
Job Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants MUST have previous livestock or leading station hand experience, a rural background.
It is essential that applicants are fit and healthy, have a positive attitude, and have the desire to work as a team.
Additionally, applicants must have a current driver's licence and excellent communication skills.
You must present with a genuine interest and a willingness to work and commit to the position.
