Job Description:

PLB Contract Mustering is looking to fill a limited number of positions for the 2023 season.

  • The season typically starts in March and ends in late November/December. 

  • Based out of Broome, work will be carried out in the east and west Kimberley, along with the Pilbara. 

  • Successful candidates will spend the season living in mobile camps with camp conditions being clean and modern.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mustering to be done on two and four-wheel motorbikes, bull catchers and some limited horse work.

  • Both branded (educated) and clean skin (feral) cattle will be mustered and processed.

Job Requirements:

  • Positions open to people with previous experience in the industry. 

  • PLB owns and operates a large fleet of plant and equipment with cattle trucks, mobile camps, portable yards, and catching equipment. 

  • Outside experience with mechanics, welding or MC truck driving advantageous. 

  • You will be able to work in a team environment and be apart of a happy work culture.

  • Must have experience with cattle and mustering with motorbike and horse riding skills advantageous.

  • Maintain the highest levels of animal welfare.

  • Be highly respectful towards equipment and their colleagues.

  • Engaged and eager to learn and develop their own skills, as well as pass skills on to those around them.

  • Willing to live and work in very remote areas, be ready for the heat and hard work.

  • Be well presented with a sense of professionalism.
