Durrie Station spans 6,600 km2 and is situated on the banks of the Diamantina River in the Channel Country of south west Queensland.
Durrie operates primarily as a growing out depot for cattle from the company’s Northern properties. Approximately one third of the property is covered by flood out channels which produce excellent feed in season. We have a crew of around seven plus the managers and family which cultivates a real family environment where everybody is included in the running of the station.
Team members attend numerous social events throughout the year including the famous Birdsville Cup, although for many the highlight is the famous Betoota Pub with its annual gymkhana, cricket and race days. There is a large permanent waterhole close to the homestead providing for fishing and swimming in the afternoon and days off.
