Job Description:
Durham Downs is currently seeking a Station Cook to join their team.
Durham Downs Station is situated in the Channel Country of South West Queensland. The property spans 8,910 km2 and runs approximately 17,000 head of cattle.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Station Manager, your key duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Menu and food stores planning;
Assisting with grocery list preparation, ordering and maintaining adequate supplies;
Preparing tasty, nutritious home-style meals for approximately 15 station Team Members and visitors as required;
Providing variety to daily and weekly meals;
Maintaining the kitchen, dining room and food storage areas in a clean, tidy and hygienic state;
Maintaining kitchen utensils and cooking equipment in good order; and
Other ad-hoc duties such as light domestic tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role, cooking for small to medium size live-in groups and providing meals to schedule;
Passion for producing quality, wholesome and satisfying food;
An understanding of dietary nutrition and food hygiene practices;
Ability to work in a safe manner;
Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to comprehend operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies and procedures;
High level of organisation skills and ability to communicate clearly;
A genuine passion for Agriculture.
