Job Description:
Live stockhands required at our Smithfield feedlot near the small township of Proston, QLD and our Sapphire property 32km from Goondiwindi, QLD.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
- Animal health management
- Livestock handling – inducting, drafting, and cattle dispatch
- Quality assurance and accurate record keeping
- Contributing to other areas of the feedlot as required
Job Requirements:
- Low stress stock handling techniques
- An understanding of animal health and welfare
- Strong horsemanship skills and own horses that are suitable for feedlot work
- Effective teamwork skills
- Current drivers’ licence
- Willingness to work a 10:4 roster
