Job Description:

A position is available for a qualified Diesel Mechanic/Fitter at our 45,000 head feedlot, located at Chinchilla on the Western Darling Downs. This position is a site based general maintenance role that suits a person who works well in a small team and has excellent all-round mechanical and general maintenance skills.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate;

  • The ability to undertake maintenance and repairs as required on large fixed and mobile plant and machinery

  • The capability to complete regular services and equipment inspection

  • The ability to maintain preventative maintenance programs with attention to detail

  • Where required undertake fabrication and welding tasks

  • Complete all required record keeping and parts ordering

Job Requirements:

  • Good technical mechanical skills and an ability to fulfil requirements for this role
  • Basic auto electrical abilities
