Job Description:
Teys Australia is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join the Maintenance team based at our Biloela processing site located in Central Queensland, 120km inland from the port city of Gladstone, Queensland. The role will be responsible for managing electrical repairs, general maintenance, and capital work functions across the processing plant.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and establish preventative maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime.
Provide mentoring and training to key electrical staff on site including developing future electrical leads.
Ensure all automation systems and electrical plans are kept up to date to meet compliance regulations.
Keep abreast of technological developments in the industry and recommend implementation as necessary.
Ensure manning is maintained at an approved level to ensure minimal overtime.
Assist in aspects of design, management, and installation of electrical installations throughout the site.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external regulators.
Job Requirements:
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
Degree and/or Diploma with Trade qualifications in the electrical fields with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in an export food manufacturing facility or similar.
Knowledge of and experience in the contemporary management of refrigeration, wastewater, steam generation, and environmental technology.
Knowledge of PLC programming, writing of programs, and fault finding.
Knowledge of HMI configurations.
Knowledge of common automation communication protocols.
Current driver's license.
Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and technical skills.
Desirable:
Direct experience in an export meat processing facility.
Membership of the Institution of Refrigeration Engineers.
Proven successful management record in leading a repair and maintenance team.
Advanced computer literacy skills.
Design and technical drawing skills.
Detailed knowledge of the Export Meat Orders particularly the construction and maintenance of export abattoirs.
Trainer/Assessor accreditation.
Boiler/Refrigeration accreditation.
