Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Stockpersons to join our team at our Charlton Feedlot.
Charlton Feedlot is located in north-west Victoria just 2.5 hours from Melbourne. This modern 22,000 head facility serves a key role in the Teys Australia supply chain, producing quality beef for the domestic and short-fed export markets.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Unloading of incoming cattle and loading of outgoing cattle as well as general stock handling
Pen riding, pen movements, drafting and cutting out
Diagnosis of animal health symptoms with a strong emphasis on animal welfare
Data entry, reporting and updating daily records and general yard maintenance
Don’t have stockman experience? That’s no problem, we also have roles available that don’t require pen riding experience – however if you want to learn this, we can teach you!
Job Requirements:
An enthusiastic person who has a genuine interest in working in the feedlot industry.
You’ll need to have:
Good horsemanship and riding skills + cattle handling experience
A minimum of two horses and required gear
Strong communication skills, team player and high attention to detail
Q-Fever vaccinated (or willingness to get – we can provide this).

A great package starting from:$28 p/hour + Super + $10p/day horse allowance ($10 for 1 horse $20 for 2+ horses)
