Job Description:

You would work closely with the Manager and be responsible for the implementation of a business plan that you would have an active role in creating. 

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

STOCK:

  • Experience in Maia grazing for pasture grazing and rotational management (including grazing records, feed budgeting etc

  • Management of animal nutrition (ie loose licks, supplements, management of calving heifers)

  • Stock movement/handling/husbandry including mustering, yard work, vaccinating, calving, weaning etc (good working dogs an advantage)


FARMING:

  • Assist in developing key benchmarking targets and strive to improve operational efficiencies

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records in Agworld software

  • Management of all facets of mixed cropping operations from land prep, planting/sowing, applications through to harvest

  • Liaise with the agronomist & manage the ordering and application of insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers etc

  • Assist in overseeing contracted farming operations

Job Requirements:

  • Economic analysis is key to developing farming systems so a real desire to develop your skills in this area is paramount. 

  • You would be livestock focused with a passion for cattle and have a willingness to challenge the status quo.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Chem Cert Certificate

  • MR licence is desirable

  • MAIA Grazing experience

  • Agworld (or similar) experience
