Job Description:
Willsdown Pastoral Co. requires full time station hands for multiple properties, across Western and Northern Queensland.
Station Hand positions are available at:
Wyrallah located 80km south of Winton
Westland located 75km south of Longreach.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Some travel to, and work at, Willsdown Pastoral Co.’s other properties across Queensland will also be part of the position.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
cattle husbandry and handling including mustering and yard work,
checking of water points and the carrying out of any necessary repairs,
maintenance and repair of fencing,
maintenance and basic repairs of plant, machinery, and other equipment
Job Requirements:
a positive attitude and a genuine interest in agriculture,
fitness to safely undertake the physical aspects of the role,
experience working with cattle,
an ability to work both independently and in team environments,
a current manual drivers’ licence,
an ability to ride a 2-wheel motorbike,
a Heavy Rigid truck licence and other machinery operational skills would be viewed favourably.
