  • We require an Experienced Station Hand at Hayden Pastoral Company.

  • You will be based at our property near Capella, QLD - single accommodation only

  • Long term candidates preferred 

  • This is a permanent position and not available to Working Holiday Visa Holders

Hayden Pastoral Co run Brangus cattle and operate Janibee Valley Feedlot, the property is 858ha (2,120 acres) with 1,000 acres of cultivation, 10km north of Capella, QLD; 'Flinders' at 4,915ha (12,147acres), 12km south of Richmond, QLD; and 'Pinnacle Springs' at 16,300ha, (42,000 acres), 80km west Mt Garnet, QLD.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Experienced Station Hand (Based at Capella, working across other properties as required):

  • Mustering cattle in timbered country on 2 wheeler motorbike with 2-3 other musterers, plus helicopter used. 

  • Maintaining fences and water facilities

  • Hay and Silage production

Job Requirements

  • Drivers licence is essential

  • Experience as a Station Hand is essential

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • A commitment to safe work practices producing quality work.

  • Well-developed communication skills and good work ethic

  • Clean and sober habits

Job Benefits
