We are seeking a Caretaker/Manager to oversee operations at Mount Windsor Station, this is a long-term, full-time position.
Mount Windsor is situated along the Manye River, 270km West of Winton, QLD. It comprises channel country and mulga plains, and typically supports about 5,000 head of breeder cattle and backgrounding cattle.
Maintaining roads, fence lines and fire breaks (previous experience preferred)
General machine/vehicle maintenance (mechanically minded advantageous)
Maintaining watering points, cattle yards, and holding paddocks
Homestead maintenance and upkeep
Management of weeds and feral animals
Liaise with neighbouring MDH property and MDH directors
Working alongside MDH mustering crews
Accommodation, power/Wi-Fi and all food provided
HR truck license minimum
Skid-steer ticket desirable
Experience maintaining fencing and watering facilities
Experience operating graders and body trucks is desirable
Self-motivated
Independent
Strong work ethic and communication skills
Enjoy remote living and working arrangements
