Georgina Pastoral Company are currently recruiting for 2021 season on their large scale outback cattle station, Lake Nash, on the banks of the Georgina River in the NT. The station is set in a beautiful location, only three hours to Mt Isa, access to local nurse clinic, variety of opportunities.


  • All positions come with attractive remuneration packages, inclusive of accommodation, all meals and Telstra 4G reception here at the homestead.

  • Accommodation is available for families/couples, with work also potentially available for partner dependent on skill set.

The following positions are now available:

Head Stockperson

  • Prior experience on a large-scale cattle station with the ability to carry out the mustering program as well as all associated duties (mustering, processing, trucking, walking away)

  • Experienced horseperson with the ability to assist in maintaing the welfare and progress of all camp horses

Station Cook

  • Mature, long term Station Cook to provide healthy home style meals for up to 30 staff and contractors (during peak mustering season);

  • May suit a couple to share duties.

MC Truck Driver

  • MC drivers licence

  • Position involves livestock transport, side tipper work and a small about of general freight work (95% on station for all the above)


Bore Runner

  • Responsible for the maintenance of stock watering points, so an understanding of stock watering and stock watering systems an advantage.

  • Solar, mono and windmills/ Basic mechanical knowledge/ Fencing repairs.

  • In this position you will be required to work alone.

  • You must be reliable, honest and self motivated. As well as neat and tidy, organised and punctual.


Bore Mechanic

  • Previous bore experience or a mechanical/electrical trade qualification/experience would be an advantage. 

  • Working with solar submersible, mono helical rotor in conjunction with small diesel engines.

  • Involves repair and maintenance of existing bore equipment and installation of new equipment.

  • Position would assist in vehicle maintenance and other station duties as required.


Machinery Operators | Grader/ Loader

  • Previous experience in station machinery operation preferred, but any experience will be considered.

  • Basic maintenance experience an advantage

  • Honest, self-motivated and reliable. Someone who takes pride in there work and there machinery, neat, tidy and punctual.
